Consultation description

<

The Department for Work and Pensions has appointed Dr Paul Litchfield to undertake the fifth independent review of the Work Capability Assessment (WCA), following his work on the fourth independent review. This is the final statutory independent review of the WCA, as required by section 10 of the Welfare Reform Act 2007.

This call for evidence is one of several methods used to gather information during the review. Dr Litchfield will use evidence from this review to inform his report to the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, which will be laid before Parliament before the end of 2014.

Who this call for evidence is aimed at

This call for evidence is intended for organisations and individuals who have information on how the WCA is operating and further changes that may be needed to improve the process.

Accessible formats

If you need a printed copy of the call for evidence in large print, easy read or Welsh, or you need a Braille, audio or British Sign Language (BSL) version, please email or write to us at the address below.
