Report of TUC Comprehensive Spending Review Briefing
On Friday 22nd October the TUC held a briefing on the Comprehensive Spending Review, providingdetailed analysis of the CSR's impacts for households across the UK. The event heard from:
Howard Reed on the impact of the review on different social and income groups using the increasingly influential Horton-Reed model
Richard Exell and Nicola Smith, TUC labour market specialists, on the impact of the review on the welfare system
Claire Kober, Leader of Haringey Council, on the CSR's implications for poverty, disabled people and local service. Claire has held senior policy and campaign roles at Family Action, Leonard Cheshire and End Child Poverty.
