Personalisation & LGBT London Matters Coordinator

Role Purpose

To deliver the specific outcomes of Consortium’s contracts concerning the Personalisation Agenda and LGBT London Maters. The LGBT London Matters work will be run in conjunction with the Director of Operations.

The Coordinator will push forward the Personalisation Agenda and work with LGBT VCOs across the country to help empower LGB&T individuals to have choice and control over their personal healthcare arrangements. This will involve setting up localised projects as agreed by the national Steering Group.

They will also help develop work across London to help LGB&T VCOs in the capital to play the fullest part in the development of London’s vibrant communities.

We anticipate an 80% / 20% split of time weighted towards the DoH Personalisation work.

Main Duties

Personalisation

  • Coordinate the established national Steering Group
  • Work with partner organisations to facilitate mini-projects around Personalisation a decided by the Steering Group
  • Establish training resources & deliver sessions for LGB&T VCOs to provide relevant and appropriate information to their clients
  • Promote the Personalisation Agenda to a wide range of LGB&T organisations nationally
  • Document and capture the impact the project is having for LGB&T communities and develop specific case studies in partnership with other LGB&T VCOs

 

LGBT London Matters (in conjunction with the Director of Operations)

  • Increase the participation and representation of LGB&T voluntary and community organisations in the social and economic development of London
  • Increase the participation of LGB&T organisations with statutory bodies to ensure current and future needs of LGB&T communities are taken into account
  • Increase access for LGB&T Londoners to a range of services
  • Help the continued development of the www.LGBTLondon.com website.
  • Actively promote equality for LGBT organisations in London
