There has been a change of policy regarding the payment of ILF awards during a DLA appeal.  If an ILF user's Higher Rate Disability Living Allowance (HRDLA) is reduced or stopped the ILF are not authorised to continue making payments.

This means that the ILF cannot pay even if the ILF user appeals against the decision to reduce or stop HRDLA.

The ILF will suspend payments until the outcome of the appeal is known.

This change from the previous policy has been brought about solely as the result of legal advice.
