To be eligible for Dial-a-Ride membership you must have a permanent or long-term disability which means you are unable, or virtually unable, to use mainstream public transport services some or all of the time.

You are automatically eligible for membership if you are:

  • A current member of Taxicard
  • In receipt of the Higher Rate Mobility Component of Disability Living Allowance
  • Registered blind
  • Aged 85 of over
  • In receipt of Higher Rate Attendance Allowance
  • In receipt of a War Pension Mobility Supplement

If you do not fulfil any of the criteria above, you may still be eligible for Dial-a-Ride but may have to provide further evidence of your mobility problems.
