The Comprehensive Spending review, the Budget and the media coverage is vast.  I have read all the documents published by the treasury and working through all the various interpretations of the CSR.  Trying to wade through all the information to post what is relevant. I will be posting over the next week.

It is clear that the disabled (those of us with complex HIV), children, families and the poor are the hardest hit by the cumulative impact of the announcements thus far.

The wealthier you are. The more disposable income you have. The less reliance on local services. Enables you to withstand the vast majority of what is being cut back. Conversely the less disposable income you have the less able you are to deal with the cuts before they eat into your daily income for sustaining yourself. The poorer you are and the less healthy you are the more you will feel the impact of the loss of service provision.

The general feeling is that the poorest are hit the hardest, the middle classes next hardest and the richest the least.

It would also seem worse is in the pipeline.
